How might we redesign the Republiks app to consolidate fitness management features and enhance user satisfaction?

Overview

The FitRepublik and StudioRepublik App serves as a comprehensive platform for managing everyone wellness journeys.

 Offering features like class bookings, membership renewal, personal training scheduling, kids’ activities management, attendance tracking, and more. It aims to streamline the fitness experience for members by consolidating various functionalities into one convenient application.

User Research

User research was multifaceted, combining available company data with questionnaire responses from members.

Extensive data analysis leveraged members’ psychographics and consumption patterns, including class booking, attendance, program distribution, loyalty, and personal service purchasing. Categorizing CRM tickets related to the app and other customer service issues provided deeper insights into user needs and dissatisfaction. Subsequently, a questionnaire was sent out to members to delve deeper into their specific app-related challenges.

Fiona, a marketing manager, prioritizes her fitness despite her hectic schedule. She aims to book classes easily, track attendance, and stay connected with the fitness community.


Karim, a CEO, focuses on his health amidst his busy professional life. He seeks personalized wellness services and wants to schedule sessions and track progress seamlessly.


Visual design

In the visual design phase, significant changes were made to align the app's design with the new website design and the evolving brand identity of the company. A shift from a white background to a black background was implemented, reflecting a more modern and sophisticated aesthetic.

Visual design principles such as emphasis and proportions were carefully applied to enhance the user experience, ensuring that key elements were highlighted effectively. Navigation was also reviewed and optimized to improve usability and streamline the user journey. These design enhancements aimed to not only align the app with the company’s brand evolution but also to create a visually engaging and user-friendly experience for the target audience.
